Cookie Policy
Which cookies this site uses, why, and how long they stick around.
Last updated: 8 August 2026
In short: we run no advertising or marketing cookies. We donot sell cookie data. All we use are the cookies the site needs to work and anonymous measurement that shows us which pages are useful.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. It lets us remember preferences (like your chosen currency) on your next visit, measure how the site is used anonymously, and keep the site secure.
Which categories do we use?
1. Necessary cookies (always on)
Cookies required for the site to work. We load these without asking because without them the site can't do its basic job.
2. Analytics cookies (legitimate interest)
Used to measure how the site is used, anonymously. This helps us understand which pages are useful and where people struggle. We run this measurement under our legitimate interest: we show no ads, build no profiles, and never combine this data with your rental records. If you would rather not be measured, the methods below turn it off.
Analytics data is processed on the servers of the provider that runs the measurement on our behalf and is subject to that provider's privacy policy. IP addresses are collected in anonymised form.
We run no session-replay or heatmap tool on this site. The tool that previously did, and the cookies it set, have been removed.
3. Marketing and advertising cookies
We use none. No ad network, retargeting, or behavioural advertising cookie runs on this site. We sell your cookie data to nobody. If this ever changes, this page will be updated and your consent will be asked for.
How do you change your preferences?
You can clear or block all cookies from your browser settings. Most browsers offer this under "History" or "Privacy and Security":
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
If you want to switch the analytics measurement off at browser level as well, you can install the official opt-out add-on:tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Legal basis
Kipra Rent A Car is a company registered in the TRNC and is subject to TRNC Law 88/2024 on the Protection of Personal Data. Alongside the necessary cookies we use only anonymous analytics cookies, loaded under our legitimate interest — there is no advertising, no profiling, and no sale of data.
We made this change on 8 August 2026. This page previously described a cookie consent banner shown to EU visitors; because it keyed off country code it also caught visitors in Northern Cyprus and blocked measurement of our own local customers. We reduced analytics to anonymous measurement and removed the banner.
