In short: we are a car rental company. We ask you only for what we need to hand you a car and to keep the record TRNC law requires. We do not sell your data and do not use it for marketing. The booking flow is the only place you tell us anything.

What we ask for, and why

The booking flow is the only place we ask you for anything — there is no contact form and no newsletter sign-up on this site. What we ask for is the standard set any car rental company needs before handing over a car:

To book: your name, phone, email, rental dates, pickup and return point, and vehicle choice.
At handover: your driving licence and ID or passport — the check we are legally required to make.

We use these to run the booking and the rental contract, to stay in touch with you, to close out an insurance, damage or traffic-fine case if one comes up, and to keep the records tax law tells us to keep. Nothing beyond that: we do not sell or market your data.

As on every website, browsing produces standard technical records (IP, browser, cookies) — used for security and anonymous visit counting. Details in ourCookie Policy.

Who we share with

We share your customer and booking records only with the parties below, and we never sell your data:

TRNC competent authorities — on lawful request.
Insurance provider — during damage/accident processing.

All transfers happen over TLS-encrypted connections. More detail: Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

KYC document photos: deleted 1 year after the rental ends.
Booking and invoice data: 5 years (per TRNC tax law).
Communication logs: 1 year.
Anonymous analytics data: indefinite.
Server-side bot/traffic measurement (IP address, browser identifier, page requested): not stored by us, relayed in real time to our analytics provider.

Your rights (summary)

Under KKTC Law 88/2024 (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Yasası) and equivalent frameworks (GDPR, UK GDPR), you have the rights of information, access, rectification, erasure, objection, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@kiprarent.com — we respond within 30 days.
