Ercan is North Cyprus's own airport — if you're connecting through İstanbul, this is where you land, and it's the fastest start for Famagusta, İskele and the Long Beach strip: about 45 minutes door to beach.
Instead of negotiating a taxi or waiting on a shuttle, you collect your bags and drive. The €39 handover fee is shown clearly at booking — there are no surprise line items, and the rental price itself already includes VAT and insurance.
Late arrivals and delays
Handover is planned around your flight, not a fixed appointment. Because we take your flight number at booking, we track the landing time ourselves — late-evening arrivals follow exactly the same flow.

How much does Ercan Airport handover cost?
The airport handover fee is €39 per direction (current fee, shown clearly on the booking form). The rental itself is priced separately with VAT and insurance included. Handover in Famagusta city is free.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight by the number you give at booking, so the handover follows your real arrival time. No extra fee, no rebooking needed.
Do I need a credit card or deposit?
No. Kipra takes no deposit and doesn't require a credit card. Reserving requires no prepayment; you can pay by cash, card or bank transfer.
Can I drive with my foreign licence?
Yes — foreign licences are accepted; no international permit is needed if your licence uses Latin characters. Bring your licence and passport or ID. Minimum driver age is 21, with a young-driver fee for ages 21–24.
Can I return the car somewhere other than Ercan?
Yes. Return at Ercan (€39 per direction) or free of charge in Famagusta city, at Long Beach, or at the Deryneia border crossing — pick the return point at booking.
Is driving on the left hard after landing?
North Cyprus drives on the left, UK-style. Every car in our fleet is automatic, which removes most of the adjustment — and the Ercan–Famagusta road is a calm dual carriageway, a gentle first drive.
