Pay in Your Own Currency — TRY, EUR, GBP, USD Now Live
Every price on kiprarent.com now displays in your choice of EUR, TRY, GBP, or USD — and you pay the same number you saw. No conversion markup. Live across the landing fleet grid, header dropdown, and booking app.
Booking a North Cyprus rental and stuck mentally converting Euros into your home currency? You don't have to anymore.
As of this week, every price on kiprarent.com displays in EUR, Turkish Lira, British Pound, or US Dollar — and you pay the same number you saw on the site, with no conversion markup.
What changed
A new currency switcher sits in the header dropdown on every page, both desktop and mobile. The selection persists across the whole site:
- The landing fleet grid (Economy, Comfort, SUV, 7-Seater) re-prices instantly in your chosen currency.
- The booking app at app.kiprarent.com/book/cars follows the same selection — your quoted rate, totals, and invoice all use it.
- A new "accepted currencies" line sits under the header search button so you know what's payable at pickup.
No markup, no surprises
Rental sites that "support multiple currencies" usually convert at a credit-card rate plus a 2–4% margin baked into the displayed price. We don't do that. The four currencies use published interbank rates, refreshed daily. When you see €35 / ₺1,400 / £30 / $38, those are the rates we got — not a margin we added.
If you prepay your reservation, the rate locks at confirmation time. No FX surprises between booking and pickup.
Why we built it
Most of our customers arrive from Türkiye and pay most comfortably in TL. The rest — UK, Germany, the wider EU, occasionally the US — wanted to see prices in their own money without doing the math. The single-currency approach asked one group to mentally convert on every page.
The fix wasn't a banner ad for an exchange-rate widget. It was a real multi-currency pricing layer wired through the fleet manager and the public site — so every quoted price is correct in every currency at the same time.
Verifiable, any time
The rates are pulled from the European Central Bank reference rates, via Frankfurter — a public ECB-rate aggregator. The ECB publishes these business-daily, and our system refreshes twice a day to track them: once at 17:00 UTC after the ECB's afternoon publication, and again at 05:00 UTC.
You don't have to take our word for it. The same numbers we use are exposed at our public endpoint:
That endpoint returns the current EUR→TRY / GBP / USD rates plus rate_date (when the ECB published them) and fetched_at (when we pulled them). Anyone can call it any time and verify that the rate quoted on the site is the same one we just used to compute it.
How to use it
- Open kiprarent.com.
- Click the currency code in the top-right header dropdown.
- Pick EUR, TRY, GBP, or USD.
- The whole site re-prices instantly. The selection persists across pages and into the booking app.
- Pay in the currency you saw — at pickup with cash or card, by bank transfer in advance, or prepay online.
Bottom line
What you see is what you pay, in whichever of the four currencies suits you. Try it on the landing fleet grid or jump straight to browsing available cars.
This is one piece of Kipra Rent A Car's ongoing effort to make everything transparent — ECB-sourced rates, no conversion markup, no hidden fees, no deposit, no credit-card hold, prices already including VAT and insurance. The goal is simple: the easiest, most comfortable rental experience on the island, with zero surprises between the price you see and the invoice you pay.
