What are North Cyprus cigarette prices in euros?

North Cyprus cigarette prices are set and paid in lira: at 55.80 TL to the euro (30 October 2026), an 80 TL pack is about €1.43, a 125 TL pack about €2.24 and a 135 TL pack about €2.42. A 1,250 TL carton comes to about €22.40. These conversions are our own arithmetic, and the euro value moves with the rate. The North Cyprus trip budget sets out the main holiday costs and leaves tobacco out, so these figures sit outside its totals. Other shelf prices are on the grocery prices in North Cyprus and alcohol prices in North Cyprus pages.

How have cigarette prices changed in North Cyprus?

Marlboro in North Cyprus rose by over 160% in about three years, from 48 TL in September 2023 to 125 TL in August 2026, according to Kıbrıs Gerçek (12 August 2026).

11 August 2026	125	125 (Pearl 135)	130

The sources count 2026’s steps differently. Both are reported here as published; we could not reconcile them. The Parliament figure for August comes from the Bağımsız Gazetesi list.

How much is Terea, and what are the heated tobacco rules?

Terea costs 125 TL a pack in North Cyprus and Terea Pearl 135 TL, on the list dated 11 August 2026. We have no verified IQOS device price, so this page quotes none.

The rule that catches passengers concerns heated tobacco entering Türkiye, which falls outside the ordinary cigarette allowance. Under Trade Ministry Circular 2020/7, as amended by Circular 2024/18, passengers aged 18 and over may bring one device they already use plus up to 200 units, so the 600-cigarette figure does not apply. By our arithmetic, 200 units is 10 packs of 20, or one carton. We could not confirm 2026 practice at each gate. The details are in the duty-free allowances guide for North Cyprus.

Are menthol cigarettes sold in North Cyprus?

Yes, menthol cigarettes are sold in North Cyprus: the October 2026 compilation, citing law 44/2008, says the TRNC has no menthol ban, and lists Parliament Menthol at 130 TL, Kent Mix Aroma at 120 TL and Harvest Menthol Crush at 110 TL. Menthol cigarettes have not been sold in Türkiye and the EU since 20 May 2020, according to the same compilation.

Is tobacco cheaper at Ercan duty free?

Ercan duty-free tobacco prices cannot be checked, because no price list is published. One source, the October 2026 compilation, claims a saving of 5-10 TL a pack on bundles. We could not verify that claim and report it only as one unverified claim.

How much tobacco can you carry out of North Cyprus?

Tobacco limits depend on the border you cross and how you cross it, and land crossings are far stricter than airports. Entering Türkiye, the passenger allowance is 600 cigarettes (3 cartons), 100 cigarillos, 50 cigars or 250 g of tobacco, for travellers aged 18 and over. The full table for each direction, with sources, is in the duty-free limits by direction.
