Where each line comes from:
- Hotel — Etstur prices for the night of 18–19 November 2026, checked on 19 October 2026 (discounted single-payment rates that Etstur states apply to Turkish citizens): a Famagusta city-hotel economy room, room only, for economy; a Long Beach apart-resort room-only night to a Famagusta beach hotel with breakfast for the middle; Ultra All Inclusive casino resorts from the Famagusta bay to Bafra for comfort. Dates, room types and the July 2027 rates: hotel prices guide.
- Food — economy is a supermarket breakfast (bread, eggs, milk, tomatoes: ~205 TL at October 2026 shelf prices), a café toast or sandwich lunch and a dürüm or pide dinner for two; mid-range eats out three times, ending with a three-course dinner for two at ~2,773 TL. According to the TRNC Statistical Institute’s September 2026 national averages, a café sandwich costs 406.58 TL and a restaurant dürüm or pide 605.62 TL. Price bands per meal tier: restaurant prices guide; the self-catering side: grocery prices guide. A meyhane night for two runs 2,800–3,800 TL on top at the latest (mid-2025) fixed-menu band, likely more today — worth one evening of any budget.
- Fuel — calculated at the 17 September 2026 decree price of 77.12 TL/litre for petrol 95; full-tank and per-route math: fuel prices guide.
- Drinks — supermarket beer versus bar rounds moves this line more than anything else; see the alcohol prices guide.
Lira converts at the 16 October 2026 reference rate (~55.7 TL/EUR, ~66.0 TL/GBP); the hotel line is November 2026 lira prices at the same rate. The machine-readable version of this budget is published at /data/guides/north-cyprus-trip-budget.csv.
What do 3 days and 7 days total?
A 7-day economy trip for two totals about 48,000 TL (about €862 / £727) before the car; mid-range lands at 69,600–101,600 TL (€1,248–1,822) and resort comfort at 95,300–169,000 TL (€1,711–3,032), at October 2026 food and fuel prices and November 2026 hotel prices:
| Duration (2 people, excl. car) | Economy | Mid-range | Resort comfort |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 days | ~20,600 TL (~€369) | ~29,800–43,500 TL (~€535–781) | ~40,900–72,400 TL (~€733–1,299) |
| 7 days | ~48,000 TL (~€862) | ~69,600–101,600 TL (~€1,248–1,822) | ~95,300–169,000 TL (~€1,711–3,032) |
These are winter numbers — the hotel line uses November 2026 prices, and summer costs more: as of 19 October 2026, a July 2027 early-booking night at the Famagusta-bay casino resort was 26,000 TL against 12,100 TL in November, and the Long Beach apart-resort 6,594 TL against 4,427 TL. A peak August week sits higher still. Flights are excluded throughout; so is the car, which gets its own section because it does not have a fixed price to print. What those seven days actually contain — the day-by-day plan for a week in North Cyprus from one east-coast base — is its own page; this one only prices it.
How do you add the car line?
The car line is N rental days at the live kiprarent.com price — daily rates move with season and availability, so the honest budget opens the booking page, picks the actual dates, and adds that number to the totals above. Kipra Rent A Car is a Famagusta-based local company with VAT and third-party insurance already in every displayed price, no deposit and no mileage limit — the number on the booking screen is the number that enters this budget, with nothing to add on top.
Two optional extras are fixed and quotable, as of 2026: the €56/way Ercan Airport meet and transfer and the €85/way Larnaca Airport meet and transfer — details on the Ercan and Larnaca pages. If you are weighing a south-side pickup against renting in the north, the border insurance math is its own story — the real-cost comparison runs it line by line.
What is not in these tables?
Five things sit outside the per-day tables, deliberately: flights, the car, connectivity, activities and any south-side day. Flights route via Türkiye — there are no direct international flights to Ercan — and the connection mechanics are in the flights via Istanbul guide. The car is priced live, per the section above. A local SIM or eSIM package is a small but real line — the SIM and roaming guide has 2026 package prices. Activities here are mostly cheap or free (beaches, the walled city, Karpaz), so they move the budget less than the food column does. And how to actually carry the money — card-first, some lira cash, never accept the terminal’s home-currency offer — is the currency and cards guide’s whole subject.
Where does saving actually work?
The real savings in a North Cyprus budget are self-catering, the winter calendar and supermarket drinks — and the most tempting cut, skipping the car, is usually the false one. Honestly, line by line:
- Self-catering works. The economy food line already assumes a market breakfast; an apart-hotel kitchen and a proper grocery shop can pull the food line well under the eating-out version for a family week.
- Winter works. Resort prices drop hardest off-season, and the Bafra resorts checked in October 2026 sell winter nights too — the detail is in the hotel prices guide.
- Supermarket drinks work. A market beer versus a bar round is the widest percentage gap in the whole budget; see the alcohol prices guide.
- Skipping the car mostly does not. Distances are real and there is no Uber; a single taxi’d airport round trip plus a couple of beach runs can pass a day of rental — taxi fares has the tariff and rental vs taxi runs the scenarios. The honest exception: if you book one resort and genuinely never leave it, you do not need a car — that is a different holiday, not a cheaper version of this one.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a week in North Cyprus for two people?
As of October 2026, about 48,000 TL (~€862) on an economy budget and 69,600–101,600 TL (~€1,248–1,822) mid-range — hotel, food and fuel, excluding flights and the rental car, which you add at the live booking price for your dates. The hotel line uses winter prices for 18–19 November 2026.
Is North Cyprus a cheap holiday destination?
Cheaper than the euro-priced south on most lines — petrol is about a fifth below the south-side price as of October 2026 and hotels are lira-priced — and close to Türkiye-level parity on groceries. Cheap against the EU, not against Türkiye.
Should I budget in cash or card?
Mostly card: POS and contactless are standard in towns and tourist areas as of 2026. Keep some lira cash for minibuses, market stalls, tips and village stops, and always choose to pay in TRY when a terminal offers your home currency.
What does this budget not include?
Flights, the rental car (priced live for your dates), SIM or roaming, one-off activities and any south-side day spending. The per-day tables cover accommodation, food and fuel only — the fixed airport transfer fees are listed separately.
